Jo Natauri is the Founder and Managing Partner of Invidia.
Experience
Ms. Natauri has over 27 years of experience in the healthcare industry and served as Global Head of Healthcare Private Investing at Goldman Sachs between May 2018 and December 2023, following other roles she held at Goldman Sachs dating back to 2006. In her role as Global Head of Healthcare Private Investing, she was primarily responsible for sourcing and managing investments for Goldman Sachs within the healthcare sector both with respect to Goldman Sachs’ balance sheet and Goldman Sachs sponsored private equity funds West Street Capital Partners VII, West Street Capital Partners VIII and China-US Cooperation Fund. During her time at Goldman Sachs, Ms. Natauri was responsible for investing over $9 billion in capital. She also played a key role in sourcing opportunities, providing sector expertise, and overseeing healthcare investments across multiple funds—including West Street Strategic Solutions Fund I, the Goldman Sachs Strategic Growth Fund, and several private credit funds.
Ms. Natauri served and voted on the following Investment Committees, each of which was responsible for managing and overseeing portfolio assets as well as making final investment decisions on behalf of particular funds managed by Goldman Sachs: Corporate Investment Committee, Life Sciences Investing Committee, Sustainable Investing Investment Committee, and Committee for One Million Black Women.
Previous to her role as Global Head of Healthcare Private Investing, Ms. Natauri was a senior partner in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs, where she was Head of Healthcare Investment Banking Services. There, she advised on over $250 billion of M&A transactions and executed over 100 healthcare financing and strategic transactions across multiple subsectors in healthcare.
Education
Ms. Natauri earned her BA in Economics and Biology from the University of Virginia. During her pre-med studies, Ms. Natauri discovered a deeper interest in the business aspects of healthcare that led her to explore a career in finance.
