Meghan FitzGerald

Senior Advisor

Meg is a global healthcare strategist, investor, academic, and author. She has experience across all domains of healthcare, from front-line patient care to executive roles within Fortune 500 companies. Currently, she leads the healthcare fund Grey Ghost Capital, which includes over 20 investments, including three health unicorns. She serves as a senior advisor to Goldman Sachs and TowerBrook Capital and holds an academic appointment at Columbia University.

Experience

Meg’s career spans over two decades in Corporate America, where she has held leadership positions in prominent healthcare companies. As the EVP of Strategy and M&A, at Cardinal Health (CAH), she was an officer and, prior to that, served as the President of Cardinal Health Specialty Solutions which grew from $700 million to over $8 billion in four years. Her previous roles in strategy and marketing included positions at Pfizer, Merck and Medco.

Meg serves on the board of directors at Tenet Healthcare ($THC), a Fortune 200 healthcare services company, where she chairs the NCG committee. She is also on the board of Roivant ($ROIV), serving on the audit committee. Additionally, Meg is one of the founders of K2 HealthVentures, an alternative investment firm focused on providing flexible, long-term financing solutions to private and public companies in the life sciences and healthcare industries.

Education

Meg holds a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from New York Medical College, a Master of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Nursing from Fairfield University. During the pandemic, she volunteered on the front line while earning an additional Master of Science in Nursing. She recently marked a decade of teaching “The Business of Healthcare” at Columbia University, a course based on her award-winning book Ascending Davos: A Career Journey from the Emergency Room to the Boardroom. She on the board and volunteers for Trek Medics whose mission is to bring “911 where there is none”.
